Poker City Ranch was fully established December 2000! However, we have been members with the Gelbvieh breed since 1982 and the Red Angus breed since 1996.  Both Danielle and I are involved in day to day workings of the ranch.  We have been blessed with 2 fine children, J.W. and Jady Jo.  Together we are committed to breeding better cattle that fit the future demands of the beef industry.  We believe that no breed is prefect and that we must compliment them.  Creating the most efficient, profit oriented product for us and our customers.  Today our cowherd consists of mainly Balancer, Red Angus, and a few Purebred Gelbvieh.  Looking ahead we will go in the same direction, targeting the 3/4 Red Angus or Angus 1/4 Gelbvieh Balancers.  I firmly believe these cattle will be accepted if not receive a premium now and in the future.
